About Prince Edward County Human Resources

The Human Resources Department provides direction and advice to Council and Departments regarding matters of labour relations, performance management, training and development, health and safety, benefits and compensation and recruitment and selection.

Opportunities for Students

Summer Students

We recognize and value the importance of integrating students into the workforce and support learning opportunities for students. Summer student positions are posted online February/March of each year. To be considered for employment, a student must be at least 16 years of age and must be registered as a full-time student during the previous academic year and must provide proof of returning to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year.

Co-op Placements

We welcome requests for high school and post-secondary co-op placement opportunities. Please express your interest to the Human Resources Department in person or to providing an outline of your school's program, the duration of the proposed placement, and the appropriate paperwork required of the program.
